Talk about big goals.  Here’s some internet marketing training you may want to consider.   It’s called Ken’s Project.  I know, it’s a catchy name.  But, it has some catchy goals.

Ken’s Project has three objectives:

1) Create one million new entrepreneurs

2) Help each entrepreneur build a million dollar business

3) Generate one million dollars a year for charitable causes

I’ve listened to Ken’s first lesson about becoming an online entrepreneur.  I think it’s something every new person to internet marketing should hear.

He provides some eye-opening exercises that will help you develop better focus and help shift your mind set so that you are more likely to focus on what’s important rather than what’s urgent.

Based on his description of the goals of the course, he’s trying to teach long-term business success by focusing on the characteristics and methods that need to be developed.  Strategies by themselves won’t build long-term success.  Just having a strong interest in an area or marketing niche won’t build success.  And most importantly, just having a passion about a topic or market won’t build success.  Every marketer’s advice is “begin with what you’re passionate about and what you’re interested in.”

There are thousands of starving internet marketers who are very passionate and very interested in the markets they serve.  It takes more than passion, more than interest and more than strategies to build a successful home-based business.

I don’t know if Ken has all the answers, but if his first lesson is an indication of what’s ahead, I told him to count me in.   That’s at least till I find out it’s a $10,000 seminar or has an $800/month membership fee.  Then I’ll have to re-think the whole proposition.

  1. I agree — I think Ken talks a good game and has figured out that there are a lot of gullible people out there that are desperate enough to pay $10K and at least a few months worth of $800/mo memberships fees to make himself a pretty nice profit. Basically, anyone that pays him $10K is paying for a “wish come true” and hoping it all works out. I’ve listened to the sales pitch and have also followed Ken’s internet marketing evolution, including some earlier fake names, and basically have a certain level of suspicion and mistrust about him. I could certainly be wrong and he could be a white knight, but my alarms keeping going off.

  2. This was my first contact with Ken or “Ken’s Project.” I had hoped for a “magic bullet”, but it looks like it’s just a another set of lofty goals and vaporware. I haven’t had a response to any of my emails since 1/31/08.

  3. Mark - I can appreciate your suspicion. I’ve had an interesting journey in entrepreneurship, but wouldn’t trade it for anything. In addition, you’re assuming that the IBC opportunity is the entire premise for the project. It’s not and I’ve said so numerous times. But I also realize people hear only what they choose to hear, so I accept where you’re at with it.

Chris - I receive many, many e-mails every day from subscribers and have been honest about not being able to respond to them all. If I didn’t respond it’s not personal. E-mail me again and make sure it gets my attention - I will respond. P.S. There’s no such thing as a ‘magic bullet.’

    Kindest regards to you both.

  4. Ken,
Thanks for the response. I can imagine that you are pretty busy. As for “magic bullet”, I was thinking of it as a something that shoots straight, cuts through all the wind and hits the target.

I’m **not** afraid of hard work, but I’ve climbed the “success ladder” more than once, only to find it was leaning against the wrong building.

    Chris

  5. I know I don’t know everything, but, I do know I don’t have $800 a month to kick around. I doubt you’ll find one million people that do either. Ken……….you-are-suspect-for-sure!!!

  6. I am as unsure about this guy as ever before. I’, still a subscriber, but the last email I received from Ken was on 9 April and it started with this, “It’s Ken with Ken’s Project and ForeclosureMBA. I know, I know, I’ve been neglecting all of you. :-)”

Whoa just a minute, did I just read “…and ForeclosureMBA”? I seem to recall saying he was abandoning the ForeclosureMBA business (I never understood that, since it’s what made him wealthy), to focus all his efforts on the “Ken’s Project” initiative.

Frankly, I just simply don’t trust the guy and it’s becuase of the stuff he does and says in his own emails. I’d love the hear from anyone that can provide some “verifiable evidence” that this guy is an honest, ethical businessman and does what he says and promises.

To me, it would just be insane to invest in his “promise” w/o any proof of success.
